Oddly enough the Italians have sushi that's actual sushi, especially in Milan. which is inland, so why it's special in Milan, I don't know. Carpaccio is the gorgeous dish pictured here, although mine was covered in wisps of shredded cheese rather than... hollandaise sauce? Cream frosting? I don't know what that is.
Mmm. That looks better than the raw-meat images I was getting. And those crisp things! I had some in TO. I prefer Chex, though, if I have to have cross-hatched food.
A. was blissfully happy, alone in the enormous hotel room, reading in the twilight, listening to the music and the sound of the sea, with a glass of something to drink on the bedside table-- I could feel her bliss

And, yes, carpaccio is all kinds of goodness. It makes my Northern Italian blood stir.
Possibly it was the full moon last night. I find myself also craving havoc and the blood of children. :]
But, no, it's called carpaccio and it's served in crazy-thin slices, so it's not like, you know. A raw ribeye.
although, mm. ribeye.
